On the eve of the 2026 Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, Cadillac has revealed a special edition that symbolizes its historic entry into the top category of world motorsport.

Cadillac has introduced the new CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, a limited series created to celebrate the brand’s debut on the Formula 1 grid in 2026. The model arrives as one of the most exclusive expressions ever produced by the American manufacturer and will be limited to just 26 units, in reference to the year Cadillac entered the category.

More than a special version, the sedan represents a symbolic milestone for the brand. The edition was developed in collaboration with Formula 1 and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, the FIA, the governing body of world motorsport.

According to Mark Reuss, president of General Motors, the CT5-V Blackwing already represents the best of Cadillac’s track-focused performance. With the F1 Collector Series, the brand says it has channeled the energy and innovation of Formula 1 into a sedan ready for the road, but with the spirit of a collector’s item.

Track-inspired design

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series features an exterior finish in Midnight Stone Frost, combined with a monochromatic treatment inside and out. The visual concept echoes the identity of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, with a package marked by darkened elements, carbon fiber and exclusive details.

Highlights include wheels in Carbon Flash Metallic, brake calipers in Harbor Gray Metallic, a lower carbon fiber body kit with Switchblade Silver pinstriping, as well as gloss-black exterior badges and monochromatic Cadillac logos.

The connection with Formula 1 appears in several parts of the vehicle. The car features F1 and FIA logos on the bodywork, spoiler, carbon fiber panels, door sills, center console, gear shifter, seatbacks and even on the supercharger cover.

One of the most curious details is the F1 logo stamped on the driver’s door using a new automated handcrafted finishing technique, called “autocraft” by the brand. Each unit also receives exclusive identification on the builder’s badge, reinforcing its character as a collector’s piece.

The most powerful Blackwing ever produced

Under the hood, the model keeps the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, but with special tuning. In the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, the powertrain delivers 685 hp and 673 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful Blackwing ever produced by Cadillac.

The performance increase comes from an upgraded supercharger, developed in collaboration with GM Motorsports. Each example also receives a CNC-machined supercharger cover, produced in-house by General Motors’ racing division.

The most purist choice is found in the transmission. The series will be offered exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, keeping alive the idea of a direct connection between driver, machine and track. The model also includes the Precision Package, a package aimed at more precise and aggressive use on circuits.
